Welcome INTRODUCTION
Welcome
We are delighted to present our new hire brochure, brimming with over
200 items of the very best in audio-visual technology.
For competitive pricing on everyday presentation equipment such as
projector and plasma screens you need look no further. Where we really
excel is in the supply of more interesting AV equipment that will make
your events stand out. The UK’s widest screens, brightest projectors and
most exciting cameras are in your hands, along with many other hard-to-
find items. If you’re looking for something different, please take the time
to look through this brochure or ask one of our team for some fresh ideas.
We love to be asked.
2005 was a stunning year for The Picture Works by any standards. We
started with our largest investment yet in new equipment, much of which
was previously unavailable in the UK. We doubled our stock of projectors,
including two of the flagship Christie Roadie 25Ks, the world’s brightest
projectors and the only two in Britain. Next we upgraded our digital camera
systems, adding ten channels of the latest studio triax, pan/tilt remote and
miniature cameras. Finally we added a further 20m
2
of Lighthouse 16mm
LED panels, making ours one of the largest fleets in Europe.
With an arsenal of class-leading equipment, we set to work on putting
it to great use at events. We built LED screens for Fatboy Slim in which
the star appeared in a hole within the screen and supplied cutting edge
touring video packages for Coldplay and Def Leppard. We supplied the
largest LED and projected mages ever seen at Glastonbury and over
200m
2
of screens on Bollywood’s leading awards event. We worked
with a reunited Pink Floyd at London’s historic Live8 concert and donated
an entire screen & control package to the Tsunami concert at Cardiff’s
Millennium Stadium.
The Picture Works has always been more than just a hire company. How
many AV companies could claim in depth knowledge of the equipment
and it’s use, as well as full multimedia production services and a history
of providing stunning AV at major events all over the world? How many
have a separate sales company?
You can be assured that our crew will do their very best to make your
next production a success. For any further advice or information please
contact one of our team.
